It’s the 29th of December, 2017 is almost over.
I’m in bed thinking about what I want to do, to be, to better in 2018.
I don’t want to lose my focus and I’m a very lazy person so I’ve decided to focus on 3 things only, one for my career, one for my family and one for myself.
For my career
I have a job that I love, in a company that I love, but I’m still also a student. my goal for this new year is to finish my last 2 exams and start my thesis.
2 exams might not seem a lot but in the public Italian university, the whole degree you get in an exam is made of one test or one test divided into multiple parts.
The 2 exams I have left both have a written and an oral part of the whole curriculum, which is a ton of stuff.
For my family
I want to have a better home cleaning routine. Keeping the house clean is my job but I’m not consistent in it and during the week I’m like a tornado.
The house is clean and everything is in its place for like 1 second.
Ah and before you go thinking my SO should help me, that it’s not right that all the housework is done by the woman and so on… We spoke about it and we came to a decision. He does not spend the nights on the couch asking for a beer and a sandwich.
We have a big garden that gives us a lot of food, but it also requires most of the work, which he does. if something breaks down it’s his job to fix it. Right now he is at his parent’s house (just across the garden) building a room in the basement to stock the ham and salami and other pork derived food we are going to make in January.
For myself
I want to really use my bullet journal this year. I think it’s a useful thing to be organized and I can doodle it and have fun organizing it.
I’ve tried using it on and off in the last 2 years but I’ve never been this committed like I’m now (I’ve already made the spreads for half of January)
Of course, with journaling and keeping organized I hope to have more time and inspiration to write on the blog.
And you? what are your goals for 2018? Or maybe you hate writing new year resolutions?
